Query Tool

The Query Tool is launched via [Tools – S4AQueryTool]. This tool is used to simulate the control system and to test both the SQL queries and the links.

Under Host, the connection to the Connector is selected. The Port setting determines the port number of the link which is used to establish the connection. The Target type must correspond with the Target type of the link.

With the buttons "SELECT", "INSERT", "UPDATE" and "DELETE", standard SQL strings can be copied into the command window. These strings can then be modified and executed by clicking the "Send" button. The SQL string can be copied from the window by pressing "Ctrl+C".

Some connections require an extra authentication, which can be activated via the checkbox Authentication.
