Installation

Windows​

Run the setup with administrator rights. Follow the installation instructions. To license the Connector, the Sentinel licensing driver is installed along with the Connector, Config Tool, Query Tool and Debugger.

Linux (Ubuntu)​

In Linux, SQL4automation is installed via Terminal. All files required for installation are contained in the Setup_S4A_Linux.zip file. Administrator rights are required for installation. The following scripts are required for installation and deinstallation:

  • S4AComplete-inst — Installs the SQL4automation Connector and all tools.
  • S4AConnector-inst — Installs the SQL4automation Connector.
  • S4ATools-inst — Installs the SQL4automation Tools: S4AConfig, S4ADebugger and S4AQueryTool.
  • S4AComplete-uninst — Uninstalls the S4AConnector and all tools.
  • S4AConnector-uninst — Uninstalls the SQL4automation Connector.
  • S4ATools-uninst — Uninstalls the SQL4automation Tools: S4AConfig, S4ADebugger and S4AQueryTool.
  • Sentinel-uninst — Uninstalls the Sentinel LDK driver. Caution, only execute if no other program requires Sentinel LDK.
